ARGON

Documentation

Get ARGON running in your server and learn how each module behaves.

1. Invite ARGON

Use Add to Discord. ARGON asks only for the permissions its features use (no Administrator). After inviting, open Server Settings → Roles and drag the ARGON role above the roles it should manage — Discord’s role hierarchy applies to bots too.

2. Quick setup in Discord

  • /security setup alert_channel:#security — recommended protections and alerts
  • /logs setup channel:#logs — audit logging
  • /modconfig modlog channel:#mod-log — moderation case log
  • /ticket setup then /ticket panel — support tickets
  • /verification setup then /verification panel — member verification
  • /help — browse every command

3. The dashboard

Log in with Discord. You will see servers where you are the owner, an Administrator, or have Manage Server — or members of a role your server added to the dashboard roles list. Every change is validated by the API, applied to the bot instantly and recorded in the audit log.

Music

Join a voice channel and use /play. Searches use SoundCloud by default; SoundCloud, Bandcamp, Vimeo, Twitch and direct audio links are supported. With a DJ role set, only DJs (or a lone listener) can control playback. /247 keeps ARGON connected.

Security model

ARGON reacts to Discord audit-log events, so it limits damage after it starts — it cannot undo actions that already happened, and cannot act on members above its role. Every detection becomes an incident you can mark as resolved or a false positive.

Self-hosting

ARGON is a TypeScript monorepo (bot, API, web) with PostgreSQL, Redis and Lavalink. See the repository README for environment variables, Docker deployment and the test-server checklist.
